James Nolan West

James Nolan West, 65 of Spring City VA Hospital, PA , died Sunday October 18, 2015 in the Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA. Born in Darby, PA, Jim was the son of the late Charles H. West Jr. and the late Janice (Allen) West. He was also predeceased by his stepmother, Angelina Marie West. He was raised in Holmes, PA with his seven siblings. He attended Ridley High School. Jim served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was very proud of his service to our country. He lived in Norristown, PA for 30 years before moving to Milmont Park, PA for five years and then to Spring City, PA. Jim was a Custodian at the Montgomery Hospital in Norristown. He was a musician - he had musical talent, played the guitar and sang for many years. He also enjoyed listening endlessly to the Beatles, Elvis and many other musicians. Survived by his daughter: Sandra (West) Doran, her husband Richard P. Doran, Jr., his three grandchildren, Seth, Gianna, and Olivia; three brothers: Charles H West,III, Richard M. West , Paul E. West four sisters: Jeanie West Eves, Carol West Green, Antoinette West Veacock and Rose Marie West Many Nieces, nephews and cousins Friends may call Friday from 9-11 am at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk , Glenolden, PA. Interment : Lawncroft, Linwood.
