John Nash

John R. Nash, Sr., age 90, beloved husband of Regina C. (Francisco) Nash for 64 years, passed away in Glen Mills on July 28th, 2017. Formerly of Folsom, PA and born in Ridley Park, he was the son of the late Frank J. and Helen I. (Davis) Nash. He is predeceased by brothers Frank, Richard, and sisters Joan and Nancy. John is survived by his wife Jeanne (Regina), sons John, Bob (Karen) as well as daughters Lisa (Michael Principe) and Danielle (Barry Crawford). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, sisters Jean Shiber and Betty Nash Higgins, and many nieces and nephews. He served in the Navy during World War II from 2/29/1944 to 5/27/1946, and was later employed by Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as well as Pierangeli. He loved sports. He enjoyed going to the Springfield Healthplex to play basketball and tennis as well as participating in the Senior Olympics, bringing home many medals to honor his work ethic and talents. His passion for sports led him to be an avid Ridley High School sports fan and a familiar face in the stands. He was an amazing man who loved with all his heart. He showed his family and friends around him that sincere love every day of his life. He was God fearing and spiritual, kind and generous, smart and witty. He taught his family about faith, love, strength, and fun. He will forever be loved and missed by many. Memorial Mass will be held 10am, Wednesday August 2, 2017 where friends may call from 9-9:45 am at Saint Rose of Lima Church, 1901 Chester Pike Eddystone, PA. Entombment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA Arrangements Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, Glenolden, PA In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maris Grove Residential Fund, 200 Maris Grove Way Glen Mills, PA 19342.
