Leslie Durkee

Leslie B Durkee, Jr 56 of Millsboro DE, died Monday at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes DE. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Leslie B and Margaret (Jamack) Durkee Sr. Les grew up in SW Philadelphia. Les was a very spiritual person who enjoyed hiking and walking on the beach. Les was a "Top Notch" auto mechanic as well as a handy man there was Nothing he couldn't fix. He liked taking things apart to see how they worked and then putting them back together. He enjoyed helping others, sometimes never looking for payment or recognition this was his way of giving back to what he called a "Random act of Kindness" and paying it forward. Les was a proud father and loved all of his children very much. He had a beautiful mind and will truly be missed. Survived by his beloved friend, Mary Fears three sons: Leslie B Durkee, III, Josh Durkee and Jacob Durkee, His siblings Kim Moffatt, Brian Durkee, Joseph Durkee and Keith Durkee, Visitation Saturday September 7,2019 from 9-10 am at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk, Glenolden, PA. followed by his Memorial Service 10am Burial private.
