Margaret “Maggie” Mary Catona

1968-2015

On the evening of December 13, 2015, Maggie passed away peacefully after a two year battle with cancer. Maggie Catona was born in Philadelphia on May 16, 1968 and grew up in Ridley Park. She was the second daughter of Kathleen and Daniel Dagney. Maggie referred to her job as the “CEO of the Catona Household”. She was an amazingly dedicated mother to her five boy, they were the light of her life. She was also a loving and a dedicated wife. Her love was the glue that held the Catona/Mariotti family together

Margret “Maggie” Mary Catona is survived by her beloved husband Anthony Jeffrey Catona, and their five sons Gary Mariotti, Private Daniel Mariotti, Mathew Mariotti, Tony Catona, and Nicholas Catona. By her loving parents, Kathleen and Daniel Dagney. Kathy Wigmore, her sister and best friend. Her niece Katie Wissman, whom she said was always the daughter she never had, her fiancé Gerard Jellison and their son’s Nathan and Jacob whom she loved as her own

Memorial Mass: Thursday at 10:30 am at Saint Madeline's Church, Morton Ave, Ridley Park.
