Mary Rose Cellinesi Garling 88 of Ridley Twp. died Thursday February 09, 2017 in her home.
Born in Ridley Park, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and the late Antoinette (Cocchi) Cellinesi.
Mary was an Administrative Assistant, employed by Boeing for 28 years. AKA, “the Godmother of Marketing”. Also, President of the Sera club at Boeing. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church and Harleysville Encore Experiences where she played trivia and loved to line dance especially to Puttin On The Ritz. She loved working on her Mac. In her earlier days Mary played the accordion and was nominated Miss Chester in the late 1940’s. Mary also loved to shop and attend many different types of events and loved dancing. She also enjoyed her frequent visits to the West End Boat Club. She was an avid fan of the Phillies and a personal friend of the Philly Phanatic. Mary enjoyed life to the fullest and had a heart of gold.
Predeceased by her husband William Garling. Siblings Dolores Edwards, Gaetano, Joseph and Ronald Cellinesi.
Survived by her son: Ricardo and Catherine Pistone, Children: Caitlin and Will Smith, Mary and Ricky, Doggies, (Pepperina and Bebe)
Two daughters: Laureen Prindle, (caregiver aka Nurse Ratched) where Mary resided for the last two years. Deborah and Kenneth Doebler, Doxies, (Rascal & Amber) Children: Darryl and Natalie Doebler, Kyle and Robyn Doebler, and her niece as she referred to as her other daughter, Antonette Zelinski and fiancé, John Weber, brother-in-law, Walter Edwards and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk, Glenolden, PA.
Friends may call Sunday from 12 noon-1 Pm at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk, Glenolden, PA.
Interment: Private
