Mary Ellen Gornik, 72 of Ridley Twp, Milmont Park, PA, died Thursday March 24,2016 in Taylor Hospital, Ridley Park, PA. Born in Long Beach, CA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and the late Mary (Kelly) Haddaway. She worked for IBM as a computer technician. She was also a cafeteria worker, employed by Ridley High School. Mary was a member of the Red Hat Society, involved with the Our Lady of Fatima Society, and Our Lady of Peace Prayer Group. She enjoyed bowling, ice skating, was an avid surfer and swimmer, and making ceramics. She loved to play jokes and loved to laugh. Mary loved the mummers especially Quaker City, Fralinger and Polish American. She was a substitute teacher at Our Lady of Peace, a volunteer for the Ridley School District at the Elementary, Middle school, and High School functions. She had a passion for art and music. Survived by her husband: John M. Gornik, Children: daughter: Maria T. Lord, John C. and Joseph M. Gornik Sister, Charlene Pattie and brother, Jeff C.
