Peter Black, 91 of Ridley Twp, Morton, PA, died Monday April 6, 2015 in the Crozer Keystone Hospice At Taylor Hospital, Ridley Park, PA..
Born in Dundee, Scotland, he was the son of the late John and the late Jessie Black. Pete and his parents moved to Ridley Twp when he was five . He served during WWII and the Korean war in the US Air Force
He was a Machinist, with the Philadelphia Naval Yard and the former Baldwin Locomotive Works.
Pete was a member of St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, Woodlyn for 76 years. He was a honorary member of Rutledge Fire Co.0n Christmas Eve 2014 Pete celebrated 60 years of hosting Santa Claus and the fire company at his home.
He enjoyed playing golf. Pete was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Predecesed by his loving wife Marie (nee Fizzano) Black.His sister Margaret ( Midge) Begley and her husband John Begley, and his niece Midge Neary.
Survived by his daughters: Mariann ( Dennis) Ward and Joann Knoetgen
His brother in law Peter Fizzano and his sister in law Mary Alice Fizzano and many loving
nieces and nephews , as well as his family at Naamans Creek Country Manor, who helped care for him for the past 2 years.
Grandchildren: Peter J Knoetgen, Tia Knoetgen, Caryn Knoetgen and Ann Ward

Funeral service : Saturday 10:30 am at Saint Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church,
