Rose I Wiggins

Rose (nee Baranyai) Wiggins passed away peacefully at the Broomall Presbyterian Home on Wednesday, October 14. She was 102 years old. Rose enjoyed the theater, dance, and art, and all things cultural. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making wonderful thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for her family. As a young girl she was active in the Hungarian theater communities in Bethlehem and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, often performing lead roles in two separate productions in her native Hungarian. Rose is preceded in death by her husband, William "Sonny" Wiggins, local athlete and boxing manager. She is survived by three sons, Billy of Wilmington, DE and Landaff NH, David of Vero Beach, FL, and Chuck of Englewood, FL, nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and her sister Vilma Blash. Visitation is Wednesday 10:00-11:00am Holmes Presbyterian Church, Academy Avenue and Holmes Road, Holmes PA 19043 followed by her funeral service 11:00am. Burial is at Edgewood Memorial Park.
