Rosemary Glanfield

Rosemary J. Glanfield, of Swedesboro, New Jersey, formerly of Collingdale, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 6, 2016. She was 78 years old. Rosemary was the beloved wife of Edward J. Glanfield for 57 wonderful years and the loving daughter of the late Henry and Marie Knaff. She graduated from Collingdale High School (Class of 55) and the Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing. On August 30, 1958 she married her high school sweetheart, Ed, and together they raised their seven children A devoted wife, mother, and MomMom, Rose had a wonderful life and enjoyed her time with her family, which was most important to her. She spent many happy summers with her family at her home in North Wildwood. Always keeping a suitcase packed, she loved to travel with Ed and her family making many memorable trips to the Hawaiian Islands and Florida, visiting Australia, and taking many cruises, including one through the Panama Canal. Rose will be remembered for her loving ways and generous spirit, a woman who loved to dance, enjoyed music and was always happy to be making fun plans. She had many happy memories of good times with friends around her welcoming kitchen table. In addition to her husband Ed, Rose is survived by her seven children Patty (Nick) Gregorio, Shelly (Tom) Novak, Edward (Joyce) Glanfield, David (Danielle) Glanfield, Rosemary (Tom) McLaughlin, Renay (Pat) Sweeney, and Michael (Anita) Glanfield and her eleven grandchildren Raechel, Tommy, Edward Matthew, Nicky, Ellie, Jackie, Patrick, David, Michael, Ryan and Joseph. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday April 12, 7-9 pm at the Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Services 202 S. Chester PK Glenolden, PA and to her Funeral Mass Wednesday April 13, 10:30am in ST. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church Bartram and Woodlawn Ave Collingdale, PA, followed by her burial at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Collingdale Fire Company #1 PO Box 1316 Collingdale, PA 19023-8316 or the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine 3400 Civic Center Blvd, Phila, PA 19104 Online condolences and memories may be placed on www.lyonsfs.com
