Sophie R. Helpa (nee Pszegon), 89 of Holmes, PA, died Thursday in the Crozer Keystone Hospice At Taylor Hospital, Ridley Park, PA.. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter and the late Anna (Wujkowska) Pszegon. She grew up in Lieperville, and later moved to Holmes where she lived for 57 years. She was a graduate of Ridley High School, Class of 1941. Sophie is predeceased by her loving husband Frank Helpa, Son; Richard J. Helpa, 2 Brothers; Felix and Charles Pszegon. Sophie was a loving and caring Mother. She loved baking, going to the shore, and trips to the casino. She was active in various Senior Groups, and was a Homemaker. Survived by one son: Francis M. (Janet) Helpa of Media, PA, and two daughters: Joanne (Stephen) Sweeney of Ridley Park, PA., Karen (Joe) Theuer, of Wallingford. Sister of one sister: Jennie Perkins of Arlington, WA 9 Grandchildren,; 4 Great Grandchildren, Visitation: Monday from 7-9pm and Tuesday 8:30 – 9:15 AM at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S.
