Sister Ann Rosaire Bradley, OSF, 92, died in Assisi House on May 28. She had been a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 71 years. Sister Ann Rosaire (Catherine Ann Bradley) was born in Philadelphia where she was a member of Transfiguration Parish and a graduate of West Catholic High School. She entered the congregation in 1942 and professed her first vows in 1945. Sister Ann earned a BS in Education from Mount St. Mary University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and an MA in Education from Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. She ministered primarily in education and, in later years, in parish ministry. Sister Ann Rosaire ministered for 13 years in the Archdiocese of Baltimore where she taught at St. Anthony School and Shrine of the Little Flower School. During her years in education she also taught at St. John the Beloved School in Wilmington, Delaware; St. Thomas More School in Pensacola, Florida; and St. John Vianney School in Orlando, Florida. Sister Ann’s work in parish ministry and pastoral ministry included serving at Holy Spirit Parish in Jacksonville, Florida, and Holy Family Parish in Antigua. She also served as a pastoral visitor at Barry House in Spokane, Washington. During her 43 years of ministry in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Sister Ann Rosaire was principal of St. John Neumann School in Bryn Mawr, St. Francis DeSales School in Lenni, and Resurrection School in Chester. Her ministry at Neumann University included serving as coordinator of elementary education and volunteering in the president’s office. During her years in the Aston area, Sister Ann also volunteered at the Franciscan Spiritual Center, the Sisters of St. Francis Foundation Office, and Assisi House. In 2010 she became a residence of Assisi House where she served in prayer ministry. All services will be held in Assisi House, 600 Red Hill Road, Aston, Pennsylvania, 19014 on Tuesday, June 7. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 9:30 A.M. followed by viewing. Mass of Christian Burial at will be at 11 A.M. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Aston. Sister Ann Rosaire is survived by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and by her Franciscan family. Donations in her name can be made to the Sisters of St. Francis Foundation, 609 S.
