1950-2016 Thomas C. Kelly, III, age 65, passed peacefully on March 6, 2016, surrounded by his loved ones. Tom was born on July 11, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA. He was a lifelong resident of Folcroft, PA and played an active part in the community. He spent 15 years coaching baseball and basketball and running the bowling league for the Folcroft Boys Club. After 34 years of employment for Septa, Tom became the Head Retiree in 2013. He was a Vietnam War Veteran who served in the United States Army. He enjoyed reading, golfing, casinos, North Wildwood and was an avid fan of the Phillies & Eagles. He always knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Kelly (nee Diamond), whom he was married to for 31 beautiful happy years. He is also survived by his children Joseph Kelly (Bridget), Maureen Kelly (Brett Hagner), Megan Thornton and Ryan Kelly, his brother William Kelly, and mother-in-law Suzanne Diamond. He will be welcomed to Heaven by his parents Thomas C. Kelly, Jr. & Mary Kelly (nee Cavanaugh), his sister-in-law Rochelle Kelly, and his father-in-law Joseph Diamond. Family & friends are invited to attend Tom’s viewing Wednesday, March 9, 2016, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM, and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA 19036. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 11:00AM at Saint Gabriel Church, Norwood, PA 19074. Interment will be private.
