Vincent Vitello Obituary

Vincent Vitello, 88 of, Aldan, PA, died Monday July 17, 2017 in his home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony and the late Concetta (Fiorda) Vitello. He served during WWII in the merchant Marines and the Korean war in the Army. Vincent was a resident of Media for over 40 years, moving to Aldan 5 years ago. He was a longtime employee in the steam turbine division at the Westinghouse Plant in Lester, PA. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 1000, Aldan, PA. Vincent enjoyed working on cars, doing the projects around the home, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. Vincent also enjoyed volunteering for his community. Predeceased by his wife Eleanor P. Kane Vitello. Survived by his sons Vincent P. Vitello and Harry J. (Janice) Vitello. Grandchildren Holly and Nicholas Vitello. Brother Mario Vitello and his sister Norma Vitello. Funeral Mass Saturday July 22, 2017, 10:30 am at St. Francis de Sales Church 33 New Rd., Lenni, PA 19052. Visitation: Saturday 9-10:15 am at the church. Burial: SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Vincent’s name to American Legion Post 1000. 106 Bonsall Ave Aldan, PA 19018. Arrangements Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Services, Glenolden, PA.
