Walton E. “Gene” Scott, Jr., 55 of Eddystone, PA, died Friday March 27th, 2020 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ridley Park, PA, he lived in Eddystone for 35 years. Gene was a Highway Supervisor, employed by Eddystone Borough. He dedicated his time to helping others and took pride in everything that he did. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. Survived by his wife and childhood sweetheart: Michelle Ann (Sweeney) Scott His mother: Patricia (Harris) Preston, stepfather: Dennis Preston, father-in-law and mother-in-law: John and Joanne Sweeney; sister: Carmela (Scott) Spada and her two children, Nicholas and Brittany, sister-in-law’s: Dolores (Glen) Waldeck and Linda (Joseph) Kerns, brother-in-law: Joseph (Deborah) Sweeney; many nieces, nephews, and cousins who he loved; and who loved him dearly. Due to current restrictions, services will be private at the convenience of family. Details on a Memorial Service honoring Gene will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to American Association for Cancer Research 615 Chestnut Street Phila, PA 19106 would be appreciated.
