Ben D. Barnhart, 47, of Southwest Greensburg died Sunday, March 30, 2014. He was born, January 28, 1967 in Portsmouth, Vir., a son of David M. (Rachel) Barnhart of Bonita Springs, Fla. and Patricia Borowsky Barnhart of Greensburg. Ben graduated from Greensburg Salem High School and attended WVU and Westmoreland County Community College. He was a regional district manager for Rex TV and Appliance for 23 years. He enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, Jeopardy, Scrabble, and playing cards. He was predeceased by grandparents: Maurice and June Evans Barnhart and Andrew and Mary Vojtek Borowsky; a half-sister Jennifer Barnhart; and a cousin who was like a brother Donald Brosky. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a beloved daughter Brooke Barnhart of St. Clairsville, Ohio; a half-brother Jason Barnhart; an aunt Dorothy Domurat of Greensburg; an uncle Paul (Janet) Brosky of SW Greensburg; cousins David Pynos Johnson of Greensburg, Daniel Brosky of Greensburg, Gary Brosky of Norfolk, Vir., Linda Brosky of Greensburg, Edward Domurat of Colorado Springs, Mary Jo “Danielle” Domurat of Sacramento, Calif., Thomas Domurat of Brazil, Jeffrey Barnhart of Greensburg, Susan Vojtek of St. Croix, Valerie Takacs of Hamilton, N.J., and Nancy Minich of Wellington, Utah; his fiancé Deborah Long Carnes of Greensburg; and many dear friends including Bob Imicus of Indiana, Pa. and Nick and Sarah of Barnesville, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg with Rabbi Sara Rae Perman officiating. Cremated remains will be scattered at Bnai-Israel Cemetery, Greensburg. A meal of comfort will follow at Congregation Emanu-El Israel, 222 N. Main St. Greensburg.
