C. Roy Thompson Obituary

C. Roy Thompson, 94, of Greensburg, died Friday, December 22, 2017. He was born March 16, 1923, in St. Paul, Nebraska, a son of the late Frederic E. and Grace Ellison Thompson. Roy was the former owner/operator of Culligan Water, in Greensburg. He had been a member of the Greensburg Rotary Club and had been a board member of the Greensburg Federal Credit Union and the Alta Vita Condo Association. Roy was an avid reader and member of several local book clubs. He loved to ride his bicycle; and, did so into his eighties. He loved music, people, and above all, to laugh. He joked, and joked, and joked. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Quinn Thompson, and two brothers: Wayne Thompson and Paul Thompson. He is survived by two sons: Quinn Dale Thompson and Scott Richard Thompson, both of Sebastapol, Calif.; a daughter, Amy Thompson Dana and husband, Neal, of Greensburg; five grandchildren: Erin Michael Thompson, Sara Elizabeth Thompson Soergel, Jennifer Elwood, Megan Dana Thompson, and Lindsay Dana Daversa.
