David C. Bard, 56, of Greensburg, died unexpectedly Monday, June 5, 2017. He was born February 13, 1961, in Greensburg, son of the late Herbert C. “Curt” and Doris Weaver Bard. Dave will be remembered by many as a “good dude.” He had played softball for the 49ers Athletic Association and was a member of the Hilltop Social Club. He is survived by two sons: Michael D. and Matthew T. Bard, both of Jeannette; a grandson, Jayce; a sister, Donna L. (Kevin) Green, of Reedsville; a nephew, Andrew Green; a niece, Melissa Green; a great-nephew, Riley; and a great-niece, Olivia. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
