Dennis P. Burk, 79, of Greensburg, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 25, 2015. He was born December 29, 1935 in Greensburg, a son of the late Charles and Cora Shaw Burk. He belonged to Alpha Ministries of Greensburg. Prior to retirement, he was an insurance agent for Baltimore Life. He loved to play the piano and sing. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by three brothers Joseph, Charles and Robert Burk; and two sisters Elizabeth “Libby” Altman and Elby Boyd. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara A. Pierson Burk; two sons: Kevin A. (Jill) Burk of Latrobe and Keith P. (Ruth) Burk of Greensburg; three beloved grandchildren: Nicole, Jesse, and Brooke Burk; a great-grandson Gabriel Davis; a brother Kenneth “Popeye” Burk of Derry; several nieces and nephews including a special niece Debbie McGaughey of Mercer; and his puppy Mocha. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg.
