Donald M. "Don" Parsley, 84, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at his home. He was born Sept. 2, 1928, in Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph and Violet Wickline Parsley. Don was a graduate of Jeannette High School. He was a civil servant for the Army for 38 years. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Sandy Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anderson Parsley; six sons, Ken (Romy) Parsley, of York, Don (Bonnie) Parsley, of Delaware, Randy (Jackie) Parsley, of Greensburg, Jesse (Renee) Parsley, of Delaware, Quincy (April) Parsley, of Greensburg, and Kelly (Chris Gilbert) Parsley, of Missouri; four daughters, Tracy Parsley, of Greensburg, Joyce (Carl) Gressley, of North Carolina, Dawn (Edgar) Himler, of Greensburg, and Paula (Richard) Sherbert, of West Virginia; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews."Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
