Eugene Baker

Eugene R. Baker, 80, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He has born April 21, 1937, in Greensburg, a son of Ida May Morris, of Greensburg, and the late Eugene E. Baker. Gene was a plasterer by trade. He was a member of the South Greensburg Hunt Club and the New Baltimore Sportsmens Club. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family. He had a good sense of humor and did not have a mean bone in his body. He is survived by his devoted wife, Bridget Chrisman Baker; three children: E. Robert (Susie) Baker, Gary E. (Teri) Baker, and Sharon Johnston; three grandchildren: Amber Johnston, Casey Baker, and Bobby Baker; five great-grandchildren: Dakota, Nevaeh, Courtney, Noelle, and Jeffrey; two brothers: Jack (Ruth) Baker and Tom (Carol) Baker; a sister Judy (Gary) Fisher; and a close friend and camp neighbor, Steve Seremet. Family and friends will be received from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hillview Cemetery, Greensburg.
