Ingrid Avilda (Sivertsen) Martinsen, 95, of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born January 28, 1922, in Haugesund, Norway, a daughter of the late Bernard and Aagot Sivertsen. Ingrid loved to travel and made numerous trips to Norway. She was a very optimistic person who lived life to its fullest. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ove Martinsen; her daughter, Christine Lloyd Leeds; and a son-in-law, Fred Leeds. She is survived by her loving son, Gary Martinsen and wife Deborah, of Greensburg; two granddaughters, of whom she was very proud: Christine Lloyd Newberry and husband Brian, of Burlington, Vt., and Tara Lloyd Darrell, of Bellows Falls, Vt.; three great-grandchildren who she loved dearly: Ayden Newberry, Taryn Darrell, and Jesse Darrell; and several nieces and nephews in Norway. There will be no public visitation or service.
