John Robb Obituary

John A. Robb, Jr., 73, of Greensburg, died suddenly Monday, October 6, 2014. He was born May 5, 1941 in Latrobe, a son of the late John A. Sr. and Donna Perla Robb. He was a 1959 graduate of Latrobe Area High School. He was an Army veteran during the Vietman Era. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. A barber for 55 years, he was owner/operator of Johnny’s Hair Styling Center in Greensburg since 1970. Johnny was a member of the VFW Post 33, the American Legion Post 981, the Hilltop Club, and the Frontier Club. He enjoyed his Tuesday night card club and was an avid slots player, making many trips to Cleveland and Las Vegas. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Thomas Robb. Johnny is survived by his wife, Joanne C. Curry Robb; four sons: Jeffrey Robb of Las Vegas, Nev., Gregory (Lorynn) Robb of Dallas, Tex., Douglas Robb of Goodyear, Ariz., and Jonathon (Krystal) Robb of San Antonio, Tex.; three grandchildren: Alicia, Colten, and Annasophia Robb; a brother James Robb of Lewisburg; and a sister Josephine Anderson of Maryland. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 300 N. Main St., Greensburg. Interment with full military honors will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
