Joyce Burk

Joyce A. Burk, 77, of Youngwood, formerly of Norvelt, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013. She was born October 25, 1936 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Earl and Gertrude Miller. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Earl Miller and two sisters Edna Aleandri and Dolly Lane. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth J. Burk, Sr.; a son Kenneth J. (Beatrice) Burk, Jr. of United; a daughter Debbie (John) McGaughey of Mercer; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother Larry Miller of Greensburg; two sisters: Helen Leone of Greensburg and Martha Taylor of Arizona; and a number of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hillview Cemetery, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
