Juan E. Rivera, 70, of Greensburg, died Friday, June 15. He was born May 17, 1948, in Puerto Rico, a son of the late Juan M. and Carmen Hernandez Rivera. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the Air Force from 1969 to 1972. Prior to retirement, he was a UPS driver in New York City. Juan was a member of the Teamsters Local 804, New York, and served as shop steward for 25 years. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister. He is survived by his wife, Sonia Betancourt Rivera; two daughters, Tañya (Dr. Subhashish) Pal, of Latrobe, and Nadia (Adam) Schweizer, of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan, Brianca, Neehla and Sophia Pal, and Savannah and William Schweizer; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
