Katherine L. “Katie” Haines, 34, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016. She was born November 15, 1982, in Greensburg, a daughter of Charles E. (Christine) Haines, Jr, of Isabella, and Deborah J. (Dean Erdner) Hanson Haines, of Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of Calvary Chapel in Fredricktown. She was a graduate of Hempfield Area High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Equine Management from Bethany College. She was active with the Western Pa. Corgi Meetup. Katie loved horses, dogs, and cats; and, she made the best pie crust. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Sarah E. (Paul) Harvey, of Smithton. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
