L. Gale Cummings, 81, of Greensburg, went into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. He was born September 5, 1932 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Andrew D. and Jessie “Nettie” Altman Cummings. Prior to his retirement, Gale worked at the Westmoreland County Blind Association in Greensburg. He was a member of Word of Life Ministries, Greensburg. He is survived by his wife, Mary Woolslayer Cummings; a son Paul Cummings of Harrison City; two daughters: Arlene Cummings and Barbara Cummings of Pitcairn; five step-children: Daniel Bochicchio of Phoenix, Ariz., Sylvia Davis of Export, Nicholas Bochicchio of Trafford, Rose Cardiff of Level Green, and Kathryn Keller of Wilkins Twp.; two grandsons: Jacob and Michael Cummings; two brothers: Jack Cummings of Weirton, W.V. and Howard Cummings of Pitcairn; a sister Gladys Shaw of Pitcairn; and a number of step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
