Lawrence J. Bell, 62, of Greensburg, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe, after a brief illness. He was born May 25, 1954, in Greensburg, a son of the late Victor N. and Ora Pugh Bell. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Victor P. Bell. He is survived by a son, Kris Hayes and wife Jenny of Toledo, Ohio; a brother Jerome Bell of Fredrick, Md.; three sisters: Evelyn “Dolly” Black and husband Ray of Bruceton, W.V., Bonnie Miller of Gaffney, S.C., and Arlene Mungavin and husband Michael of Summerfield, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Sandy Bell of Axle, Tex.; and numerous cousins, including James Bell, who took care of Lawrence for the past 15 years and up until his last breath. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A liturgy service outside of Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home.
