Michael J. Hornick, Jr., 78, of Greensburg, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, March 20, 2017. He was born July 26, 1938, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late Michael J. and Amelia Sokolick Hornick. He served in the army during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, he worked for PennDOT. He was a member of the Hecla Sportsmen’s Club. He is survived by his wife, Donna Tinsley Plavchak Hornick; a son, Brad M. (Mary Ann) Hornick, of Mt. Pleasant; two step-sons: Mark (Carla) Plavchak, of Goshen, Ind., and Doug (Angela) Plavchak, of Dillsburg; eight grandchildren: Ashlyn and Ty Hornick, and Emily, Taylor, John, Miles, Landon, and Keona Plavchak; and a sister, Dolores Pader, of Mt. Pleasant.
