Philip Skergan Obituary

Philip Skergan, Sr., 81, of Greensburg, died Sunday, July 23, 2017. He was born May 1, 1936, a son of the late Joseph and Veronica Ryan Skergan. Philip graduated from Duquesne Pharmaceutical School and was a pharmacist for over 50 years. He was a veteran, having served in the Korean conflict with the USAF. Philip was a life member of the former Mt. Pleasant BPOE and the Hecla Sportsmen’s Club. In addition to his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Casale Skergan; three brothers: Joseph, James, and Vincent Skergan; and two sisters: Marjorie and Janice. Philip is survived by his wife of 45 years, Roberta “Bobbie” Riley Skergan; two sons: Philip Skergan, Jr., of Longmont, Colo., Bryon Skergan, of Roswell Ga.; two daughters: Debbie (David) Wrobleski and Veronica Skergan, both of Roswell, Ga.; a brother, Donald Skergan, of Greensburg; a sister, Gerri Poole, of Greensburg; grandchildren: Jennifer, Katherine, Michele, Rachael, and Mady; and three great-grandchildren: Caroline, Kate, and Ryan. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Anne Home, 685 Angela Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 300 N. Main St., Greensburg. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Interment will be private.
