Richard Leamer Obituary

Richard D. Leamer, 87, of Greensburg, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017. He was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Arthur E. and Edna Flister Leamer. He was a member of Maplewood United Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Carnegie Tech with a Ph.D. in physics and went on to work as an engineer for Westinghouse. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, James H. Leamer; a sister, Margery Ward; and a brother, Arthur Leamer. He is survived by his wife, Mary Dannels Leamer; a son, John A. Leamer, of Monroeville; a daughter, Elizabeth A. (Larry) Crawford, of Indiana; three grandchildren, Alex, Logan, and Kimmie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. Additional visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Maplewood Presbyterian Church with a funeral service to follow. Entombment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
