Stephen Moffett

Rev. Stephen R. Moffett, 62, of Youngwood went to be with his Savior on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. He was born October 27, 1952 in Washington, Indiana, a son of the late Paul and Viola Teitsort Moffett. Steve graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He was a member, Associate Pastor, and Christian Education Director at Lighthouse of Hope Church, Greensburg. He was also a professor at Calvary Theological Training Center of Greensburg and a member of the Westmoreland Christian Academy School Board. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Anna L. Moffett; three sons: James (Michele) Brown of Greensburg, Anthony Brown of Washington, Ind., and Ryan (Lisa) Moffett of Derry; 12 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; four sisters: Betty Burton of Washington, Ind., Shirley Chanley of Washington, Ind., Nita Tomson of Greensburg, and Jane Hayes of Derry; and a number of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Lighthouse of Hope Church, 538 Rugh Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the church, with Pastor Thomas Tomson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lighthouse of Hope Global Mission, 538 Rugh St., Greensburg, PA 15601 or International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, IFCJ.org.
