George Warfield

George Warfield, 91, of Camillus, NY, passed away on October 13, 2019. He was born in December, 1927 in Bethlehem, PA, to the late George and Ruth (Krueger) Warfield. George graduated from Moravian College with a degree in chemical engineering. A U.S. Army veteran, he served as a radio operator during the Korean War. He met his future wife, Mary, at a high school dance, and they were married in 1949. George was employed at Allied Chemical for 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed bowling, traveling, playing pinochle and pitch, gardening, and computer games. He is survived by his wife Mary; daughters Susan (Jim) Crittenden and Janet (Tom) Nadolny; grand-daughters Amanda (Joe) Pilcavage and Christina Nadolny; three great-grandsons; niece Pat Kadar (Carl Husser); nephew Stephen Kadar. George was preceded in death by his sisters Helen, Ethel, Arlene, Mary, Elva, and brother David. Services will be private and George will be laid to rest in the Union Cemetery in Hellertown, PA. Memorial contributions may be made on George’s behalf to the Korean War Veterans Association, The Honor Flight Network, or The American Red Cross.
