Dana Rine, 53, of Hummelstown, PA, died Monday, March 13th at his home. Born in Dauphin County, he was the son of the late Robert Gary Rine and his wife, Janice Rine. He was a Graphic Artist, working most recently at Art Communication Systems in Harrisburg. He was an avid artist; oil painting was one of his favorite pastimes. When he wasn't painting or drawing for a book he was working on featuring one of his own created characters, he was either playing his guitars or reading. He was an admirer of the Beat Generation authors, and William S. Burroughs his favorite among them. He was a 1982 graduate of Hershey High School, and attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia. In addition to his mother, Dana is survived by his two sons, Robert T. Rine and Daniel J. Rine of Mountville; a daughter, Kathryn R. Rine of Mountville; wife, Kelly L. Rineer Rine; a sister, Lydia D. Luckenbill of Middletown; a nephew, Jeremy M. Luckenbill also of Middletown; and an aunt and uncle, Butch and Tess Cassel of Mount Joy. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 2 PM in the Hummelstown Cemetery, John and Railroad Streets, Hummelstown, with The Rev. John A.
