Margaret D. Panco Obituary

Obituary of Margaret D. Panco
Margaret D. (Adams) Panco, 83, of Hershey, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2017, in Country Meadows, Hershey, with her family by her side.
Born in Jeddo, PA on May 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Tucker Adams.
Marge was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Marge was a Navy wife, and later supported her husband in his insurance business; all of this while maintaining a household and raising her children. She loved traveling with her family, both immediate and extended within the United States and abroad. In recent years, she enjoyed day trips, and longer excursions, mostly to the beach, with groups from Country Meadows.
She was a 1950 graduate of Hazle Township High School. Marge was a longtime member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey. She supported her children’s interest in scouting as an assistant den mother, committee woman and former treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 65, Hershey, and as an assistant troop leader for a Hershey Girl Scout Troop.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Panco.
Marge is survived by two sons, David J. Panco of Lacey, WA, and Robert Panco, Jr. husband of Natalie of Hummelstown; a daughter, Paula M. McCreary wife of Brett of Hummelstown; a sister, Marie Zawatsky wife of John of Mountain Top, PA; three grandchildren, Tyler Panco, Daniel McCreary, and Shannon McCreary; three step grandchildren, Ryan Holmberg, Darien Springer, and Kalina Springer.
Marge’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank Grane Hospice, especially her caregivers Michelle and Alex, and the entire staff at Country Meadows of Hershey. Appreciation is extended as well to her many local friends and those at Country Meadows who shared their kindness and support during these past few months.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:30 AM in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey, with The Rev. Fr. Alfred P. Sceski, as celebrant. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Viewings will be held in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM and again on Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM.
