Noel F. Henkel

Noel F. Henkel, 63, of Hummelstown, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his home.<br>Born in Oil City, he was the son of Marie N. Ericson of Pittsburgh and the late James V. Henkel.<br>Noel worked in financing and insurance for several local car dealerships. He was also a former family counselor for Whale’s Tale, Pittsburgh. Noel was an US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Era as a military policeman. He was a member of the American Legion Post 386, Hershey, and VFW Post 6417, Palmyra. He attended Seven Sorrows BVM Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. Noel enjoyed spending time with his sons, as well as taking care of his beloved dogs, Lizzie and Lazlow. <br>In addition to his mother, Noel is survived by his two sons, Justin F. Henkel and Lucas C. Henkel both of Hummelstown; and his two siblings, Bruce Henkel and Celeste Henkel both of Pittsburgh.<br>Military honors will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 12:30 PM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 55 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville. <br>Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements. <br>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America, Capital Chapter 542, Michael J.
