Erla F. Schauer Bashore, 88, of Londonderry Village, Palmyra, and formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, in the home. Born in Heidleburg Township on November 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Florence Baim Beamesderfer. Erla retired from the Production Department of the H. B. Reese Candy Company, Hershey. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and cross stitching. Most important, however, Erla was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Erla was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George F. Bashore, on October 15, 2015. She is survived by one daughter, Debra B. Hilbolt wife of Dale E. of Hershey; one son, Keith A. Bashore husband of Deborah Booser Bashore of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren, Sarah E. Hilbolt, Ashley R. Grams wife of Matthew, Derek M. Hilbolt husband of Madalyn, and Seth H. Bashore; three great granddaughters, Lilly R. Grams, Caroline C. Grams and Riley P. Grams; one sister, Ellen E. Moyer wife of Claude of Lebanon; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Erla was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane and Elaine; and one brother, Henry.. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020, at 1:30 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with Pastor Ryan Cagno of the Encounter Church of Palmyra, officiating. Interment will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery. Friends are invited to the viewing Thursday from 1 PM until time of the service.
