Gertrude (Trudy) R. Martin Deitman, 77, of Hummelstown, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020, in the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Harrisburg on June 3, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Parke T., Sr., and Evelyn T. Hoffman Martin. Trudy retired from the former Verdelli Farms. She was an avid reader, and loved baking, going to Myrtle Beach, and turtles. Trudy is survived by a daughter, Stacey L. Deitman (John) of Hummelstown; a son, William J. Deitman, II, of New Cumberland; two brothers, Parke T. Martin, Jr. of Camp Hill, and Herbert L. Martin (Ann) of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Shirley A. Aungst of Florida, and Betty J. Harner of Enola; a sister-in-law, Deborah J. Zink Martin of Palmyra; four granddaughters, Nacole, Melissa, Elaina and Ashley, followed by six great grandsons, one great granddaughter, two grand-dogs, Boomer and Luna, and one grand-cat, Spirit. In addition to her parents, Trudy was preceded in death by a brother, Ray A. Martin, Sr. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at 10 AM in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, with The Rev. William G. McNeal of the Campbelltown United Methodist Church, officiating. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc, 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.
