Linda Brunner Stoe, age 77, of 847 Round Top Road, Middletown, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, January 13, 2020. She was born on March 30, 1942, to the late Emil and Mildred I. Bull Brunner in Harrisburg, PA. Linda was also predeceased by her husband, Elmer E. Stoe, Jr on October 13, 2019 and her youngest son, Raymond T. Stoe in 2000; Ronald J. Stoe, the oldest son in 2005; her grandson and son to Raymond, Christopher J. Stoe, in 2016. Linda is survived by her middle son, David A. Stoe of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; her sister, Marjorie E. Forster wife of David of Camp Hill, her brother Thomas Brunner husband of Dianne of Franklin, MA. her daughters-in-law, Malinda Stoe-Almoney and husband David of Grantville, and Daniela Tingler and husband Bert of Middletown; an honorary son, Daniel Angelo and wife Anna of Middletown; three grandchildren, Danielle Stoe of Grantville, Peter Stoe of Palmyra, and Anakyn Tingler of Middletown; a niece, Lauren E. Forster of Bethlehem; two nephews, Ian J. Forster of Brooklyn, NY and Scott Brunner husband of Jocelyn of Norwood, MA and great nieces, Aria and Addison. She graduated from John Harris High School, Class of 1960; Polyclinic School of Nursing, Class of 1963: Lebanon Valley College, Class of 1966: Temple University, Class of 1970. Linda was the Director of Nursing – Staff Development and Director of Nursing of Continuing Education at the Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital and Coordinator in the Learning Institute, Pinnacle Health System and retired with 33.5 years of service. She was active in her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints where she served in numerous capacities. In addition to many leadership roles in her community she helped raise thousands of dollars for Huntington’s Disease research with her support group members. Linda enjoyed her grandchildren, oil painting, making “Forever Memories” – flower arrangements, shadow boxes, gardening, canning and her family and friends. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 11 AM at the Hershey Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4788 Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg. Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 AM until time of the service. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.
