Martha A. Thomann Warnke, 90, of Hershey, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at her residence. Born in Grossenhain, Germany, on December 27, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Christoph and Meta Von Kampen Thomann. Martha was a homemaker and did work for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Richmond Hill, NY. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Hershey and loved baking, knitting, jigsaw puzzles and making crafts. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Henry D. Warnke, on September 16, 2008. Martha is survived by one son, John H. Warnke of Harrisburg; one daughter, Maryanne Hilton wife of Paul of Wantagh, NY; three grandchildren, Lisa Warnke and her partner Sean Murphy, Paul Hilton and Nicole Hilton; and one great grandson, Declan Murphy. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Cindy A. Brommer, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Friends are invited to call for a visitation Tuesday in the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of the service.
