Maudie M. Diamond

Maudie M. Ledford Diamond, 97, of Hummelstown, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020, at her home. Born in Jonesboro, LA, on December 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Georgia Ledford. . Maudie retired from the Peanut Butter Cup Department of the H.B. Reese Company after 23 years of service, and wrote articles about her travels around the world for the company’s newsletter, The Reesette. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir; and had played in the former Golden Age Kitchen Band, both of Hummelstown. Most important to Maudie, however, was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Maudie was preceded in death by her husband, Russell H. Diamond, on August 25, 2010. She is survived by two sons, Richard A. Blouch husband of Penny, and Michael H. Blouch husband of Sandra, both of Middletown; one daughter, Patricia A. Floyd of Alabama; one sister, Louise Creech of Louisiana; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 31, 2020, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. John A. Schaefer, officiating. Interment will be in Hummelstown Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday in the funeral home from 10 AM until time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Residential Hospice, 100 Sterling Parkway, Suite 110, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
