Age 90, of Dormont, passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Beloved Wife of the late Michael "Mickey" Namey; Loving Sister of Eleanor Elias (late Nathaniel) Zacour; Adoring Aunt of Beverly Justice, Terry (Rocco) Muffi, Samuel (Patricia) Zacour, Randy (Cheryl) Zacour, Pam Fenlock, Donna (late Robert) DelGreco, Lila (late Nip) Cunzolo, and David Namey; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and several cousins. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Rose (Joseph) Elias, and her siblings: James, Sam, Adele, Helen, Stella, and John. Upon graduation from Fifth Avenue High School, Susan attended business school. Her career was driven by her expertise in shorthand and transcription. She was employed by A. Maumax Awning Company, Kaufmann's Department Store, A.E. Masten and Company, and PNC Bank. She was most proud of her position as an executive secretary to the late Edgar Kaufmann. Susan was a generous benefactor in the education of her family members. Additionally, Susan was a lifetime member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, Oakland. She enjoyed being a member of the choir and other social organizations. May you rest in peace with your parents and siblings, Aunt Sue. We will miss your beautiful smile and sweet sense of humor. Friends are welcome at 2630 West Liberty Avenue, Dormont on Friday from 2-8 p.m. Additional visitation will take place in St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 3400 Dawson Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Liturgy at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park.
