Russell D. “Pete” Henderson, 83, of Brookline Manor, Mifflintown passed away at 6:30 P.M. on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at the manor.

Born on February 15, 1936, in Mifflin, Juniata County he is the son of the late Russell B. and Carrie (Kepner) Henderson. On August 14, 1954 he married his surviving wife, Gail Ann (Ford) Henderson with whom he was blessed to share more than 64 years of marriage.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Lee Ann Reed and her husband Steve and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a beloved son, Russell Paul Henderson and a sister, Elmira R. “Sis” Niman.

Mr. Henderson was a professional truck driver for ABF prior to his retirement and he will long be remembered as a fixture at the Lost Creek Golf Course where he loved playing the game of golf.

As per Pete’s request there will be no services and interment will be private at the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
