Gregory A. "Buck" Bennett, 65, of rural Julian, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017, in Bellefonte. Greg was born on October 9, 1951, in Williamsport, PA a son of the late Frank E. and G. Jean Gibboney Bennett. On September 5, 1970, he married the former Debra K. Hillard who survives at home. Greg is also survived by his son Scot A. (Tammy) Bennett of Runville, his daughter Michelle L. Bennett of North Carolina, his grandchildren, Tyler Bennett, Jeffrey "Bubba" Bennett and Sean Doherty; his brothers, D. Edward "Ed" Bennett, Michael (Chrystal) Bennett and his sister, Sandra (Michael) DeArmitt all of rural Julian. Greg was a 1969 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He was of the Protestant Faith. Greg was a member of Milesburg American Legion Post #893. Greg had worked for the Water Department for Bellefonte Boro. Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at camp with his family. You could always find him at his grandson's sporting events cheering them on. One of his greatest passions was softball. He enjoyed playing and coaching for several teams in the Bellefonte Softball League and served as President of the League. In the State College Area League, he played for teams earning eight State Titles and two National Titles in the 35, 45, 50, 55 and 60 age groups. Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
