Joseph "Joe" G. Reed, Jr., 72, of Bellefonte, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, 2017, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Joe was born in Bellefonte on July 13, 1945, a son of the late Joseph G. and Dorothy Bechdel Reed, Sr. On June 6, 1975, he married the former Patricia K. Bradley who survives at home. Also surviving are his daughter, Shelia J. (Rick) Tice, of Moshannon; and his son, Joseph (Rachel) Breon, of Pennsylvania Furnace; his three grandchildren, one of whom is Kimberly Drayton whom he called "his pretty girl"; and one great-grandchild. Also surviving is his sister, Bonnie (Robert) Shuey, of Bellefonte; and his brother, Dennis Reed, of Bellefonte. Joe was employed by Pletcher's Beer Distributor for over 20 years. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army from 1964-1975. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was mayor of Sunrise Mobile Trailer Park. He enjoyed tinkering in his shed and spending time with his family and PJ, the family dog. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Reed. There will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Stand Up To Cancer, P.O.
