Ronald E. "Bones" Packer, 70, of Ohesson Nursing Manor in Lewistown, formerly of Bellefonte, passed away at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital Thursday, January 19, 2017. Ron was born in Bellefonte, on May 21, 1946, a son of Clara Peese Packer of Bellefonte and the late Clair E. Packer. Ron is survived by his daughter Tracy Packer, his three grandchildren, his two sisters, Tena M. Packer and Janet (Glenn) Sacona both of Bellefonte, and his brother Charles V. Packer of Bethlehem, NC. Ron was of the Lutheran Faith. Ron had worked a General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies as a solderer before his retirement. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching football especially the Philadelphia Eagles, spending time with his nieces, nephews, his great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Clark and his nephew Gary Clark. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at 7:30 P.M. at God's Missionary Church, 218 Old 220 Road, Milesburg. Family and friends will be received from 6:00 P.M. -7:30 P.M. time of the services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring Street, Milesburg.
