Donald Correll

Donald Charles Correll, 86, of Danville formerly of Bloomsburg passed away at Grandview Nursing Home in Danville following a week stay in the ICU unit at Geisinger Medical Center. Don was born December 12, 1930 in Bloomsburg, the son of the late Harry W. and Mary (Beagle) Correll. He was a 1948 graduate of Bloomsburg High School. Don was a dairy and grain farmer at the 120 year century family homestead in Dutch Hill. He grew tomatoes for over 35 years and was awarded the master tomato grower for PA in 1967. He enjoyed listening to nascar races on the radio. Don was a member of the St. James United Church of Christ, Ridgeville and a lifetime member of the Buckhorn Fire Company. Don is survived by his wife the former Betty Jane Baylor whom he married February 27, 1954, sister-in-law’s Marion Patton of Bloomsburg, Sandra Campbell of Athens, PA, Suzanne Kopatz of Sayre, PA, and brother-in-law’s Wayne Baylor and Glen Baylor both of Danville. Don gave a loving home to his dogs that were his family; Chester, Molly, Fritz, Betsy and cat Mr. Tom who are all deceased. Private graveside services will be at the convenience of the family at Dutch Hill Cemetery. The Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville is handling arrangements.
