Joseph “Joey” Russell Kent III, 25 of New Castle, Pennsylvania passed away Sunday, November 3rd, 2019 at home unexpectedly.

Joey was born on August 17th, 1994, in New Castle, PA, the son of Kathy Grannis Kent and the late Joseph “Joe” Russell Kent Jr.

Joey grew up in a large, loving family and loved his girlfriend Jenna dearly. Joey was very involved in his friends and families’ lives and enjoyed spending quality time with his animals. Joey loved music and loved to express himself. Joey truly was one-of-a-kind, with the biggest heart. Joey had an extraordinary support system and was loved by many. He was on the dean’s list and was expected to graduate with a degree in welding from NCST in January.

Survivors include his loving mother Kathy Grannis Kent, sisters Stephanie Kent (Charles Terpilowski) of Lake City, Cynthia Kent of Youngstown, OH, brother David Kent (Jennifer) of Erie, Pennsylvania and long-term girlfriend Jenna Johnson. Joey is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 7th, 2019 at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill Street, New Castle, PA 16101.

A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 5 p.m. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate. Wake to follow after service.
