Joseph Anthony Orlando Obituary

Joseph Anthony Orlando, Jr., 56, of New Castle passed away at his residence on December 7, 2019.


Born on February 23, 1963 in New Castle he was the son of Joseph A. Orlando, Sr. who survives in New Castle. His mother, Rita Mae (VonFeldt) Orlando preceded him in death.


Joe was a member of Holy Spirit Parish.


Joe will be remembered for his kind, loving and caring heart. He lived most joyfully when he was helping and taking care of others. He deeply loved his family and friends. He adored our Lord, and did not hesitate to share his love for God with everyone. Joe cherished and honored being Luke’s Godfather. He loved his little turtle, his pet Booger, who he took care of for many years. Joe is a sweet kind soul, who will be so very dearly missed and always loved forever and ever.


In addition to his father, Joe is survived by his step-mother, Martha R. Orlando, his brother, Robert J.C. Orlando, his sisters, Veronica L. Orlando, Joanne M. Winter, nephews, Jake, Adam and Luke Winter, nieces, Anna M. and Brittany L. Orlando, great niece, Jessica and great nephew, William, many loving VonFeldt and Orlando family members.


In addition to his mother, Joe was preceded in death by his infant brother, Michael Orlando and his sister, Kathleen Ann Orlando.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary’s Site. Father Victor Molka will officiate.


Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.


Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
