<p>Joyce D. Penwell, 76, of West Pittsburg passed away the evening of November 1, 2019 at Ellwood City Hospital.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on January 16, 1943 in Oneonta, NY to the late Lester Olmstead and Agatha Finnerinal Moroz.</p><p><br></p><p>On July 20, 1960 she married her beloved husband, Kenneth Penwell who preceded her in death on July 29, 2016.</p><p><br></p><p>Joyce was a member of the Free Methodist Church.</p><p><br></p><p>Joyce enjoyed doing crafts and writing. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Joyce was survived by her children, Steve Penwell (Judy) of New Castle, Terry Penwell (Diane) of New Castle, Tim Penwell (Tracy) of West Pittsburg, Chris Penwell (Kimberly) of New Castle, Melody Szamrey of New Castle, Betty Penwell and her companion, Benji DeMatteo of New Castle, her brother, Paul Birdsell of Cincinnati, OH, sixteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be on Tuesday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.</p><p><br></p><p>A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Harry Edenhofer will officiate.</p><p><br></p><p>Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>Obituary
