Anna V. Casacchia, 94, of New Castle passed away the evening of November 23, 2019 at Avalon Springs Place, Mercer, PA.

Born on January 11, 1925 in Steubenville, OH she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Gullan Brewster.

On August 24, 1943 she married her beloved husband, Arthur B. Casacchia. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1999.

Anna retired from St. Francis Hospital where she had worked in the cafeteria.

Anna was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site.

Anna enjoyed watching old western movies and going to play Bingo. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Anna always cooked with love and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.

Anna is survived by her children, Arthur E. Casacchia and his wife Barbara of Cortland, OH, David Casacchia and his wife Marilyn of New Castle, Patricia Koscinski of Hubbard, OH, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Joseph Koscinski, her brother, Edward Brewster, Jr. and two sisters, Helen Davis and Kathryn Batsel.

Visitation will be on Tuesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.

A procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site. Father Joseph McCaffrey will officiate.

Entombment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
